Disk Triage adds new consolidated scanning and enhances the visual sizing comparison utility.
Vancouver , British Columbia ( August 12, 2004 ) — TimeAcct Information Systems, a specialist in disk space sizing and analysis utilities, today announced the release of Disk Triage version 7.2.
This release provides the ability to provide consolidated scans of your disk space, allowing you to combine the information from multiple drives/directories/volumes into one view. This allows you to get a better picture of the true state of the storage on your servers, NAS and SAN devices. Also included in this release is an updated version of the visual sizing comparison utility that allows the user to see disk space growth over time.
At the same time, TimeAcct Information Systems is also proud to announce that Disk Triage is a featured program on the CD of the book “Hacking Windows XP” by Steve Sinchak.
"We find Disk Triage to be an essential tool for managing our data storage growth", says Roger Dumont of Statoil, "It has helped us reduce data storage usage by over 20 percent!".
“The addition of the ability to visually see the changes in disk space usage and to provide consolidated views have been our most requested features over the last year. In version 7.2 of Disk Triage we have delivered that and more to our customers.” says G. Bradley MacDonald, President TimeAcct Information Systems. “With the addition of these new capabilities, Disk Triage continues to be the most powerful disk space content analysis and reporting utility in the marketplace”.
Key enhancements in Disk Triage 7.2 include:
New consolidated scanning capability allowing you to combine multiple scans to show the true picture of your disk space on your entire server, NAS or SAN.
Quick view of age of directory contents.
Improved visual sizing comparison utility that shows the user exactly what has changed in their disk space usage over time!! The utility not only shows what has changed in the directory tree – but also by file owner, type, extension, dates, sizes, etc.
Updated reporting engine.
Ability for the user to easily customize the reports
Export reports to PDF, Excel, RTF, HTML, XHTML, GIF, JPG, BMP and WMF
Disk Triage, which retails for US$199.95, uses a wide variety of analysis tools, including graphs, reports, and a powerful tree view, to help interpret the gathered disk allocation and file usage data. It can also graphically show data breakdowns by file size, attribute, dates (create/modify/access), time, size of file name, extension, owner, and registered file types. Disk Triage is the only utility to provide this amount of detailed information about the files that make up your storage.
