TimeAcct Unveils Disk Triage 8.0
Disk Triage adds new Multi-Scan Charting and ability to scan & analyze FTP Servers.
Burnaby, British Columbia ( April 11, 2005 ) — TimeAcct Information Systems, a specialist in disk space sizing and analysis utilities, today announced the release of Disk Triage version 8.0.
As a specialized utility for network administrators, Disk Triage provides a quick and easy way to monitor disk space usage across an entire network (LAN or WAN). Version 8.0 adds the ability to quickly and easily create line charts across multiple scans for directories and analysis categories (file owner, extension, type, size, etc). This provides the history of disk space usage and the information necessary to forecast future growth. Also included in this release is the ability to scan and analyze any FTP server. This now allows Disk Triage to report on non-windows based machines such as mainframes, etc.
“The new multi-scan charting feature provides capabilities not found in any other utility. It will allow our customers to truly understand how their disk space usage is changing over time.” says G. Bradley MacDonald, President TimeAcct Information Systems. “You cannot effectively manage what you don't understand. Disk Triage provides the information necessary to better manage your storage resources."
Key enhancements in Disk Triage 8.0 include:
New Multi-Scan Charting. This allows the user to create line charts of directories and analysis categories over multiple scans - showing growth over time and providing the information needed to forecast future disk space growth.
New ability to scan and analyze any FTP server as if it was local disk space. This can allow scanning & analysis of non-windows machines such as mainframes, mini-computers, etc.
New activity statistics for each directory scanned
New customizable graphs with full print preview.
New report customization capability.
Disk Triage, which retails for US$199.95, uses a wide variety of analysis tools, including graphs, reports, and a powerful tree view, to help present and interpret the gathered disk allocation and file usage data. It can also graphically show data breakdowns by file size, attribute, dates (create/modify/access), time, size of file name, extension, owner, and registered file types. Disk Triage is the only utility to provide this amount of detailed information about the files that make up your storage.
