Before you can use Disk Triage to scan and analyze a FTP server - you first have to configure the server. Here you create an Alias to the FTP Server that contains the information you need to connect to it.
The following screenshot shows the basic screen that is used to maintain the list of FTP Aliases.
Basically you give the site an Alias and then give it the site address, userid and password that are required to sign onto the FTP server. It then stores that information in a INI style file - with the password encrypted - so it can used during the scan.
If you want to edit an entry - double click on it to bring it up in the edit fields - and then change the information you want and hit the Update button.
When you have entered the information for an Alias - you might want to test to see if it can connect to the FTP server. In which case you simply click on the "Test Connect" button which will attempt to connect to the FTP server. It will display a dialog and tell you if it was successful or not.
When you are done making your additions/changes - you need to click the Accept button to keep them. The Cancel button will wipe out any changes that were made.
