Dock Windows Area Limits
This group box allows the user to set how many windows will be allowed to be docked in the Input and Output docking areas at one time. When the program first starts it is set by default to allow only one window in each area.

If you have it set to only allow one window to dock - then when you click on another node in the Navigation trees, the first Window is hidden - and the new one displayed. If you set it to allow multiple Windows - then each Window takes up a portion of the available area. As you ask for more windows - the other shrink - and may eventually become unreadable as you add more and more windows. However, in order to get around this issue you can un-dock a window by clicking and dragging its blue bar at the top. Also - note that you can set the value to Zero - and it will allow you to dock as many windows as you like into the specified docking area.

You can also cause a visible window to disappear by clicking on its item in the tree a second time.

Report Options

Cache Report Pages in Memory until Printed
This setting by default is set to true. When Caching is enabled - it allows the user to page back and forth through the print preview screen. If it is not enabled - then you will not be able to view previous pages.
If your machine is low on memory - you may want to turn this option off - if you plan on moving through most of the report in the print preview screen. This should only be an issue when your reports are in the 500+ page range - and even then if your machine has 512+ MB - you should not have a problem.

Root Node Default Action

Add Root Node by Default
This setting by default is set to true. It affects whether or not a Root node is added automatically to scans of single directories. If it is set to False - then single directory scans do not have a Root node created. If multiple directories are scanned or a second directory scan is added (Ctrl-F2) to the first - then a root node is automatically created.
