This feature of Disk Triage allows the user to Chart Multiple Sizings - producing a graph showing the changes in the contents of the disk space over time. This is an incredably powerful feature that will allow users to truly see how their disk space has been changing over the selected time period. This can help companies to understand the trends in how their disk space is being utilized and make estimates as to how it might be utilized in the future.
In order to use this feature you must have some scans saved to the Database. As you gather more and more history - the graphs become more and more meaniful. The install of Disk Triage comes with a database called SampleData, which contains a number of scans that you can use to try out this feature.
To start the Multi Charting feature of Disk Triage you can either choose it from the File menu or by clicking on the (
) image in the Tool Bar at the top of the main screen.
The following image shows what a chart might look like. It shows the size of the disk space usage for that directory structure at seven different points in time. This will allow the user to actually see how their disk space usage has changed.
