After you have found the complete list of files that you searched for - you may want to further restrict or organize them. The File Seach & Action screen allows you to sort and filter the results very easily. It should be noted that all the actions take place in the order of the Grid - so sorting and filtering affect the results. If you filter out all the files - except the *.doc files and then choose Delete Selected - then the only files that will be deleted are the *.doc files.
Sorting by Columns
Every column in the Grid can be sorted simply by clicking on the column header. In fact you can sort by multiple columns simply by holding the Shift key down while you click. This is a great way of organizing the results. You could sort by File Size, or perhaps by Extension and then File Name, etc.
Filtering Records
Each column also has a drop down arrow to the right. You can use this drop down to filter the results to only show records that match your criteria. You can choose any of the values already in the column - or you can create custom criteria (note position of mouse in the screen capture below). As with sorting you can filter on multiple columns at the same time. So you could filter by a particular Directory and File Extension for example. When you want to remove the filtering you can either choose ALL from the list or close the filtering notice bar at the bottom of the grid.
