The following screen shows a comparison of two directories. It shows the difference between the two sizings. The first was performed on December 7, 2003, the second on March 5th, 2004. From the screen you can see that the 'docs' directory has increased the amount of space used by almost 18 MB - but the number of files has dropped by 65.
Not only can you view the comparison for the Tree - but you can also view the comparison for a number of the Analysis groupings. To move between the different analysis comparisons - you can simply click on the one you want in the tree - and then click on the Compare button.

In the following screen shot you can see how the Analysis by Size shows in the comparison. In this screen the trigger of Differnce Percent was set to 50% - so the one item that changed over 50% has been highlighted in a pink color.

Older Sizing
This button allows you to choose the older of the two sizings. When the user selects the sizing - it fills in the date/time and description from the saved sizing information. When the user clicks on the button they are presented with the Sizing Selection screen.
Newer Sizing
This button allows you to choose the newer of the two sizings. When the user selects the sizing - it fills in the date/time and description from the saved sizing information. When the user clicks on the button they are presented with the Sizing Selection screen.
Compare
This button performs the actual comparison. This process can take a few minutes, depending on the size of the directory trees being compared.
Compare Field (Drop Down)
This drop down allows the user to select which field will be used for the comparison. The possible values are Size, Files, Sub-Directories, Compressed Size and Actual Size. As you change this value - it will change the percentage differences and the icons to reflect the new comparison values.
Values (Drop Down)
This drop down allows the user to quickly select between viewing the older sizing value, newer sizing values or the difference value (the difference between the two sizings).
Comparison Report
This button displays the Comparison Report Options screen - and allows you to print/export the report.
