SEMRT Benefits

We work for the Clinic

In the process we work for the clinic. We strive to make sure that the data transferred is both usable and clinically safe. We are there to answer any questions the clinic may have about the process or data and to help them navigate the conversion process.

Working Relationship with the Vendors

We have a great relationship with all the vendors we deal with. We are vendor neutral and work with all vendors to ensure that they get the data in the format they need. Our main concern is getting as much data from your current EMR into your new EMR. We work with the Vendors to ensure this happens - and we go the extra mile to make the transfer as easy as possible for the clinic and the vendor.

Working Relationship with Governments

We work closely with various provincial governments and some of our services are covered by them. As the provincial governments have a desire to make sure that clinics are using their approved EMRs - and we help that process - we try to work closely with them in terms of process, project management and funding.

Years of Experience and Attention to Detail

A lot of vendors do data conversions - it is simply part of the business. However, it is usually assigned to an intermediate or junior level developer. Our process is run by senior developers who have years of experience in performing EMR data conversions. As well as data conversions - we have designed and written an EMR system from scratch. In short - we have more experience with EMR data - and how it is used than most people doing data conversions.

As well as our experience we have an attention to detail that is second to none. We work with the clinics to make sure that we get as much of their data out of their source EMR as possible - and that it is a format that can be imported into the target EMR system. We are not satisfied until we have all the data that can be extracted from the clinic current EMR.

Extracted Data Viewer / Deliverables

As well as the COPD and CMS exports - we provide the data extracted from our process to the clinics in the form of a well documented MS SQL database. As well as providing the database we provide a simple viewer that allows the clinic to view a patient's EMR data after looking them up by name, phn or birth date. It also allows printing of EMR charts and searching for text strings. This viewer is provided free as part of our services - and can act as a form of archiving for doctors leaving the clinic.
